Exclamation Unable to view web page from remote machine

Hi
i installed red hat 8.0 on my workstation and configured it. the workstation is part of a network of 6 machines which connects to the internet via adsl modem and a compex router.
question
i hv installed apache 1.3 and configured it properly (at least i think i did). i can view the web page from machines in the intranet, but when i try to view it from remote machine, error message pop up. i have configured the compex router to port forward 80 to my workstation machine which is 192.168.0.93. what is the problem? do i have to iptables, since i already configured the router to forward http request to my workstation.
i don't have a domain name registered yet. what shall i entered in the DNS part of the httpd.conf? should i typed in the DNS that was supplied by my ISP

It probably your isp blocking it,

try running apache on port 81 and forward that port in your router to see if it works.

This was a tough problem. I had it a few months ago. It has to do with the Maximum Transmition Unit (MTU) trying to send larger packets then the DSL (PPoE) can handle. To solve this you need to lower your MTU on your web server.

ifconfig eth0 mtu 1492

That should get you up and running.
