inet addr:192.168.33.201 Bcast:xx.xx.xx.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

lo Link encap:Local Loopback

TX packets:142 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:10402 (10.1 kB) TX bytes: 10402 (10.1 kB)

............................
[root@utfae root]# netstat -nr
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface
192.168.33.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 40 0 0 eth0
127.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 U 40 0 0 lo
0.0.0.0 192.168.33.250 0.0.0.0 UG 40 0 0 eth0

Even if I add the route {route add utfae gw xxx.xxx.xx.250} :
root@utfae root]# netstat -nr
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface
192.168.33.201 192.168.33.250 255.255.255.255 UGH 40 0 0 eth0 192.168.33.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 40 0 0 eth0
127.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 U 40 0 0 lo
0.0.0.0 192.168.33.250 0.0.0.0 UG 40 0 0 eth0

And every time the system reboots the routing table is the previous one.

Any help???? Please.

how is your network set up? Is it hubbed switched, or do you have a router? How many computers do you have hooked up??

The network is through a router.

Anyway, I just managed to bring it up. Don't ask me which command helped. I tried a whole bunch of them. Thanks for your help!

BTW, has anyone worked on the MPC857IAD board?
