Unable to ping a system on a RH9 system

I'll try to make this as simple as possible.

I have an NIS network with about 15 RH9 clients. An associate of mine who went on vacation reinstalled one of the clients over the weekend. I am now unable to ping or ssh into the system. If I go to the system itself, it has the correct hostname, and the correct IP, and is able to ping or ssh into any of the other client systems. I have tried to ping and log in to it from multiple other clients. Any ideas? Thanks!

Well, I got it fixed, and I am an idiot. I was getting the IP from doing a hostname -i and that was showing me the correct IP address, but when I did an ifconfig, it showed a different IP address than what hostname -i showed. I had to edit the hosts file with the correct IP then re-run netconfig.
