unable to browse windows workgroup - Fedora 9
somewhat new to linux, used dos / windows for a long time.
Got a windows workgroup with numberous PC's - XP and a XP 2003 server.
Able to brownse internet / get e-mail (external server) no problems in linux system, but unable to browse the local workgroup / or attach to any shares.
installed Samba
turned on the SMB as well as nmb services
turned off the firewall in linux (to make sure that wasn't causing the problem.)
modified the smb.conf to include the workgroup name.
testparm as follows -
