Unable to access home network

Hello Everyone

I'm hoping someone can help me solve a problem and perhaps clear up some confusion , I have a home network (MSHOME)that consist of 3 PCs (2 Linux PCs and a Windows PC) and a freenas server since upgrading to Mint 12 I cant access my home network (MSHOME), when I browse networks I get 2 workgroups Emegra (PC icon) host) & Windows Network (Network icon),if I open Emegra it shows any local folders I've set to share I can open them and that seems ok, when I open windows Network it shows 2 workgroups (Workgroup & MSHOME) if I open Workgroup it shows Emegra once again I can open and access my shared files no problem, however if I try to open MSHOME nothing happens, I can connect to any client on the network by clicking on "Connect to Server" and typing in the IP address but I Can't get them listed on any workgroup, I installed Gigolo and I can access all the clients from there and bookmark them but that doesn't completely solve my problem because althouh Gigolo will connect to any network / shared folder I set it to it doesn't solve the MSHOME problem which means ie that I cannot connect to a network printer on the windows machine, Without going into too much detail the other Linux PC (running Peppermint)which I put together as an experiment before changing over to Linux works perfectly, I appolgise for the length of this post but I'm just trying to give you all as much relevent information as I can in the hope somene can solve this problem for me.

Many Thanks

Graeme

Sorry Doc I see what you mean, I actually thought I had resolved the problem with the help of the board the last time but I only realized yesterday when I tried to connect to a network printer I had this workgroup problem, To be honest the network situation has been a nightmare for me since I first moved to Linux between one thing or another I've never really had it configured right, and it's just getting me down anyway apologies once again for the duplicate thread, if possible please delete it from the board

Many Thanks

Graeme
