Ubuntu 5.10 PPPoE/VPN Connection Issues

Hello everyone,

I have a problem connecting the Internet on Ubuntu 5.10. At my university, the only way to connect to the Internet is to use wireless to connect a PPPoE connection and then use a VPN on top of that.

I cannot get either to work corretly. I have the wirless card connected to the access point, but I cannot get the PPPoE to connect.

I've run pppoeconf and it seemed to work correctly, however, when i type 'pon dsl-provider' as instructed by pppoeconf, it says 'plugin rp-pppoe.so loaded' and that's all.

What am i doing wrong? and also after i've connected the PPPoE connection how do I setup the VPN connection, as I have no way of accessing the internet on the machine.

Thanks in advance.

Schnoid.
