Two Wireless Adapters, One Box

Debian 5, Lenny 2.6.26-2-686

I've got an HP zv5235us notebook with a stock Broadcom BCM4306 (rev 03) wifi working without issues using the b43 driver from the kernel.

I want to add a Netgear WG111(v1) rev2 wireless USB.

I'm following these instructions http://wiki.debian.org/prism54#p54usb at Second generation USB devices (ISL3887).

lsusb shows: Bus 005 Device 002: ID 0846:4240 Netgear, Inc. WG111(v1) rev2 54 Mbps Wireless [Intersil Prims54]

lsusb -v shows: iSerial 3 3887-0000

So I'm pretty sure I'm following the right set of instructions.

Anyway, after Step 3: modprobe -r p54usb ; modprobe p54usb I run iwconfig and all I see is wlan0 which is my working Broadcom adapter. Shouldn't I see wlan1 for the new Netgear USB?

Thanks

Need more Info

What does dmesg report?

cat /proc/net/dev

It's also the case you may need a udev entry.
