I have two squid proxy servers, all the PC traffic goes through one squid, but I want the second squid to act as a backup. So if the first squid goes down all the traffic will go to the second squid will I be able to do that???
Take a look at webmin. You can set webmin to monitor services and if they go down - run a command. Just write a script to swap the ip addresses on the systems and that should work as a failover.
