Tutorials for setting up a server/gateway with ubuntu?

I just downloaded the latest version of Ubuntu (12.10), and have a box with 2 nic cards. I'm looking for a way to turn this into a:
Gateway/VPN (lt2p/ipsec)
Firewall.
Network Monitor.
I've done everything but the VPN tunnel before, but not in a long while. Are there any updated tutorials to do just that?
