hi, i'm following a "tutorial" to configure the two network cards ,
after installing ipmasq and dnsmasq , when i restart dnsmasq it gives an error , "failed to create listening socket: Address already in use (failed to start)
i don't know what to answer when i "dpkg-reconfigure ipmasq"

i didn't went ahead with the steps i was following ,cause there is error example giving , so if i start bad it can't be good.
abd i wasn't able to connect to the net anymore , this resolved after remoiving ipmasq and dnsmasq
i know what i'm doing isn't rite cause i never done this before
i did notice something , a line that goes like "IN= OUT=eth0 ,etc,etc," this is when i would try to acces the internet,
i tried " eth1 ip 10.0.0.8" , Bcast becomes 10.255.255.255 and mask 255.0.0.0
and my ubuntu pc just tries to find a connections ,

Have you tried a router or switch? You can get a Linksys or something similar that would make the job easy.

yes i have a router with one connection ,that's why i'm trying to useone pc as gateway,
i believe that the error occured ,cause i had to flush the iptables rules
i'm gonna try another appraoch without dnsmasq and ipmasq

don't know how they work (yet)
in the meanwhile , maybe someone else has a better clue/suggestion
i'm a poor student so buying stuff is out of the question
gonna try to remove a virus from someone's pc and get some pocketchange now , Trojan.Busky ,later i feel like ubuntuing the pc,later
