Trying to deploy an iBook image from a FC3 server

I have a FC3 NFS server with an image file for an iBook G4 laptop stored on it. I want to be able to deploy that image to multiple iBooks. I created the image using NetInstall Helper and then copied the image up to the NFS server.

I then booted off of the mac os X install disk and tried running the restore under the disk utility. I put the following path for the source: 192.168.0.1:/iBook/iBook_7_26_05.dmg. However, I keep getting an error saying "you must authenticate in order to restore".

I have also tried running the apple software restore from a terminal while booted off of the CD using the command:

asr -source 192.168.0.1:/iBook/iBook_7_26_05.dmg -target /Volumes/"Macintosh HD" -erase

That yields an error of: "couldn't validate source - not recognized"

Please help!!!!

did you ever figure out why this message "you must authenticate in order to restore" keeps coming up, I have the same problem.

No I did not. I am just going to use an external hard drive and bring the image down to each computer individually.
