panito LQ Newbie Registered: Sep 2004 Posts: 1 Rep:	trying to access Network Shares on a Windows 2000 Storage area Linux newbie so be gentle. I'm trying to access Network Shares on a Windows 2000 Clustered Storage area network. I'm having no trouble accessing shares on any other normal server. However, I can't seem to mount any network drives from the SAN. Is there a service that needs to be installed on the SAN in order to make shares accessible to my Linux client? Also please keep in mind this is a production server and I want to limit as much as possible any configuration changes that have to be done to the server. Thanks in advance for any help.
