Question Trust relationship using SAMBA in Redhat Linux 7.2

Hi,

Can anybody explain me the facts that whether I can make a domain trust relationship (As done in case of Windows NT between two Win NT domains) using a Linux SAMBA server and a Windows NT server machine? If yes then how??????
Any response will be highly appreciated....

I am not an NT person but I am guessing that you need your samba machine set up as security=domain, try having a look at the Samba HOWTO's

Hello,
Rich

I did that already and i also added my Win NT workstation machine to the Samba PDC domain ...there is no problem in that..but the question is how to join a Win NT domain (containing Win NT server "win NT PDC)) and a SAMBA PDC.????
Any suggestion in that regard will be highly appreciated...

Samba can not currently set up a PDC-BDC or trust relationship with a window computers (as of 2.2.7a) but it can be set up between samba computers. This has to do with the protocols used to communicate trust relationships not being available to the samba development team though they say they are working on it (according to samba documentation.)
