token bucket algorithm vs Leaky bucket algorithm

Hi,

1 - What the token bucket algorithm has more in special than the Leaky bucket algorithm?
2 - What algorithm is used in our computers?
3 - The token bucket algorithm always talk that an amount of token has to be saved before send the packet. This means that there is a token for every packet? How can i define a token in the token bucket algorithm?

Thanks,
Pedro
