TFTP timeout LTSP

Attempting LTSP....
After configuring DHCP server on LTSP server box..and starting DHCP server ..

the remote terminal receives the DHCP info and applies the IP as noted in the DHCP config file.

but..

I then receive a TFTP timeout error with the result that my boot info never gets to the client.

etc/services shows
tftp 69/tcp # Trivial File Transfer
tftp 69/udp # Trivial File Transfer
so the port appears to be ok

The tftp server appears to be running, although I do not really understand the script for establishing this.

TFTP is tied to xine, and I get no xine error messages in boot log.

I would appreciate comments about establishing tftp server is working, and any ideas about what I am overlooking. Thanks.

ok well outside of pxe and such, can you use the tftp service? just use a tftp client (i.e. "tftp") to get the files that will be required for the boot on PXE or whatever. if that works, then you should be able to have confidence in your tftp service. if not, run a packet capture program like tcpdump to wathc for inbound tftp traffic to see if the server at least recieves the data. also check log files for file not found errors etc...
