Tesco broadband

I am considering using Tesco's 512k broadband, but when I go to their site to get info about the offering then it tells me they don't support my operating system (Fedora Core 2).

I wondered if anyone is successfully using Tesco broadband with FC2 (or any Linux).

I have had a brief look at the Tesco Broadband offerings which is quite honestly very baffling. According to Tesco they can only service M$ based systems which is total nonsense. Then according to separate sources it requires a broadband enabled BT line and the other source says they have partnered with NTL. So how confusing is all this? Basically if you have a broadband enabled line and a modem/router with ethernet then you can connect via a BT line. I am not sure what the parameters are with NTL as they use both conventional broadband over phone lines and cable services. Personally I think that if Tesco is so backward in their IT knowledge I would stay well away from them.
I use freedom-to-surf, http://www.freedom2surf.net/
and found them really excellent but a few quid more expensive at £22.50/month. I have not used their tech side very much but when I have I have found their staff both very helpful and well informed on the tech side of IP addressing and networking as such. They offer unlimited use and static addressing which has enabled me to have my own internet server as well. Most of the time my service is running closer to 600K than 500K.
As regards use with Linux I had my system operational in 10 minutes with Debian and it took 30 minutes+ with M$.
