telnet to port 80

Hi
I want to test web server via telnet.
I connect to web server with command telnet x.x.x.x 80, when run "GET / HTTP/1.0" in telnet prompt will not get any respose from web server.
May any one guide me to run correct command for getting response from web server?
thanks in advance

Are you pressing <Enter> one more time after the GET command?
