Telnet session locks up on ls command
I can telnet to my Mandrake 9.0 box at home no problem. The issue occurs when I try to run a command that produces a lot of output, ie when I ls my FTP directory. Then the system just hangs there with the curser flashing until I close my telnet session on the windows side. I have heard other people talk about this problem (supposedly occurs with ftp and samba too), but have not heard of a solution, any thoughts?

Not a solution but might want to consider using ssh instead, its more secure as telnet is old and cryptic, very insecure way of adminstering your Linux box from remote locations/connections.

I would agree if I was only have the problems with telnet. It also happens via ftp on the listing of my larger directories....
