Unhappy Telnet on Suse 7.2

I'm trying to setup a server to run MU*s (Text-based MUD variants, MUSHes, MUX, etc). Most of the people I'd be hosting are Windows users with limited Linux knowledge(most probably won't even access the shell), so I want to run a Telnet server for them to log into, rather than make them download putty or somesuch.

So, the question is... how do I set it up so they can telnet in?

Oh, and I want to set up an FTP server as well, so any help is muchly appreciated.

Thanks

Would you not be better setting up shhd instead? Much more secure!

When you give untrusted people shells on a server you have to worry about local security holes.

SuSe 7.2 includes telnetd, you just need to enable it.Enable inetd with yast then enable it in /etc/inetd.conf if I remember correctly. It has been a long time since I last used SuSe.

The windows telnet client is rubbish. You really should be using ssh.
