TCP/IP functions

Hi
I want to know which kernel function is used by TCP to hand over a packet for transmission to IP. Or, it would be very helpful if somebody could tell me HOW to hand over a packet to the linux IP layer for transmission. I have an skbuff that has the packet with the IP header already built and i want to hand it over to IP. How do i do it?

Thanks
