system is unable to establish network with other system
 
i have installed RHEL4 update 2 to my system, it is establishing network connection locally but it is unable establish connection to other systems. I am totally confused. it is very very urgent for me to find this. Can u suggest me regarding all its possible way like how to find driver of NIC which is used by motherboard (Model is D102GGC2), commands in the linux to find the same.

The command lspci might be useful in your case, but also an explanation of what exactly you need this computer to do would also help. Do you need to establish ssh connections? Can you ping the other systems?

i need both ssh connection and also the system has to ping with other systems. whatever u hav suggested i will try that and if any other possibilities is there u please assist me. i hav tried the command lspci but i am getting that "command not found" one more thing i am using linux operating system.

Well in this case there a couple different things you need to make sure are running in order for your requirements to be met. Firstly lets try the lspci command again but this time type

/sbin/lspci
Next we need to make sure sshd is running on the system you need to connect to. Type the following command to see if sshd running.

ps -ef | grep ssh
Paste the output of these commands and we'll go from there.
