sync ldap and samba password with ldappasswd
i really want to be able to set the ldap passwords for my samba and OpenLDAP PDC via the command line.
at the moment i've found the ldappasswd command.
ldappasswd uid=root,ou=people,dc=fedora,dc=directory,dc=server -S -x -D cn=Manager,dc=fedora,dc=directory,dc=server -W
but that seams to only set the posix account password and not the samba password, can anyone tell me how to do this?
I set it correctly.if you know more please see the following url:
hi there, i looked at your website and i didn't see what i'm looking for.
i'm not looking for the smbpasswd -w password option if thats what you mean.
i'm making a ldap-add-user-script and i want to be able to set the sambaLMPassword, sambaNTPassword attributes.
but running the command listed above i can only change the, userPassword attribute.
