Suse 9.2 pro : no internet with 3com card
Installed suse 9.2 pro on my new computer. It went ok, but NOT the installation of the internet. Suse said at that point "interface is not available”. The installation of my windows 2000 on the same pc however posed no prob at all. The internet works just fine on windows. If not, I would have a major problem asking you this question.
I have a 3com ethernet XL 10/100 PCI for complete PC management ( = 3C 905C-TX etherlink XL) card and a ASUS P4x533-VM (or is it -xm ?)motherbord. As you asked before on this forum , I can give you the sbin and dmesg thing. Thanks for any help, but please try to explain me things as simple as possible, i use linux for a year or so (started with mandrake on my previous computer) because I do not like windows policy, but i remain a newbee in linux land. I asked this also at suport suse a few days ago but receaved no answer yet. Maybee because of the feasts thes days ... |
sbin and dmesg !
