SUSE 9.2 and Adsl internet?

I have a zoom modem connected via ethernet.When I installed mandrake it automatically connects me to the internet,but when I install suse it asks me to write "loginname and password" for my dsl provider..However,my dsl provider is a university and I don't have a usr name and password also I dont need to write them in other linux distributions,and Xp..So how can I connect to net with ethernet in this situation in SUSE 9.2?
