SuSE 9.0 pro to SuSE 9.0 networking

Hello there, this is my first post to this forum and I hope I don't sound as lost as I feel. Here is my problem. I recently installed SuSE on both of my computers, one upstairs and one downstairs. These computers are connected by router and both have an internet connection established. Both systems have SuSE on one drive, and Windows xp on another. I can access the Windows system downstairs from the SuSE system upstairs, and visa-versa, the problem is that I cannot see the SuSE system upstairs from the computer downstairs nor visa versa. When I installed SuSE on both computers I installed them as a stand alone system, but now I want to be able to share files between the two. I imagine this is a simple matter to fix, but for the life of me I can't figure it out, and I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks so much in advance - Gary

When you installed, did you install nfs and/or samba server. If so, you can use either of these to share between the SuSE boxes. If you use Samba then you can share between SuSE and Windows, too.
