Angry SuSE 8.1pro & that bloody Realtek 8110S gigabit lan

ok.... i'm kinda fed up... maybe i'm doing something extremely wrong, or something just isn't gonna go... after scouring the MSI website (lucky me i bought the 865PE-Neo2-P) i discovered that they don't offer the linux flavor of my lan driver.. onboard of coarse... so i downloaded the ones from the Realtek site.... JOKE!!!!! the drivers won't compile correctly for nothing. i've got errors out the wazzoo.. if anyone has had experience getting this to work, let me know, cause i REALLY want to get online with my new SuSE installation so i can update to 9.1 (i have it on DVD in a server across town... aren't i clevah?)

PS.... it sux when you have to revert to windows to get installation and driver hint's for linux... seems kind of ironic... get linux to free yourself from micro$oft's tyrranical reign.. and have to go back to it so you can learn how to install the hardware drivers... teehee....

*sigh*
