Exclamation SuSE 10.1 server How 2 PLS!

Alright I am back ladies and gents, and I'm sorry if I am asking a question that might have already been answered but I didn't see anything exactly like what's I've got in the forums so here we go.

I am happily building my home network and it's up to six computers of both windows XP & SuSE Linux 10.1 machines. The other day I just completed building my server (AMD 2500+, 512 MB RAM, 100GB HDD) So I went ahead and decided that while I had Windows Server 2K I would rather use SUSE 10.1 for my server OS so put two network cards in the server in the hopes I could aslo use it as a firewall.

This is what I am hopeing for: a) connect DSL modem to one network card and b) connect router to other (router obviously connected to other computers on LAN) I want a domain controller, in lieu of workgroup, I'm not sure about DHCP as the DSL modem currently hadnles that so maybe y'all can reccomend. But anyhow I have no idea how to configure this as I have little if no experience on server admin. Like I mentioned I've got six computer of whom all need to access the internet and I wouild prefer them doing so throgh the server with the setup I've mentioned.... so any ideas or reccomendations? Thanks guys & gals!

You get more responses when you post specific questions and problems and tell us what isn't working yet.
Good luck!

O.K. Sorry about the confusion ... here's my problem: I've got a Linksys mixed router with four wired ports, I've got a Westtell External DSL modem I've got a server (beefed up desktop) with OpenSUSE 10.1 I need to know exactly how I can use it as a domain controller for aproxatmatly six SUSE 10.1 & Windows XP Pro machines so all the computers get to the outside world i.e. internet via the server. I can get the machines to talk to one another as long as I treat the *server* as a client but then it sort of isn't doing it's job so I would like to get the router and DSL modem plugged into the serve so I can have a simple web server, router, firewall, & file server all in one nice little package. I just can't seem to figure out how to set it all up and I guess that's my I didn't ask a specific question becuase I don't have one I just need a general breakdown of hot to configure it in the way I've mentioned here. I will be happy to provide any more hardware logs or system logs if anyone would be so kind to walk me through my first Linux server config! Thanks guys I still have faith just a little aggravated is all!

Talking This Is What I Was Looking For!!!

I think that Linux Questions is an awesome place however since people don't feel like explaining this I went elsewhre and found THIS

http://www.linuxforums.org/servers/s..._a_server.html

I'm posting a link here both to serve as help for those that need it and to show proof that a little effort and a little help goes a long way!
