Sun O/S

Hi All
Please give me the steps to install network in Sun O/S 8 . We are having Realtek8039(RL100ATX) card. But it is not detected. When we try to give the ip address it gives an error message.
Unable to give ip number 192.168.0.9 in the network.
We are having a intel board

run sys-unconfig and follow the directions

If your NIC is not supported under solais 8 on Intel ther isn't a huge amount you can do

you should have drivers for the nic... try looking in the /kernel/drv/ directory and I believe the drivers should be the 8039 drivers.. not at a solaris machine at time so couldn't tell you for sure, but it should be supported though.
