suggestions needed: DSL router/modem for Linux

Greetings

Anyone have suggestions for which brand(s) of DSL router and modem to use under Linux 2.4+

Something else I should know? Please tell me your experience.

Your information is appreciated. Much thanks.

Regards

Reggie

I have a zyxel prestige 652H. It allows sending firewall logs to the syslogd. Disadvantage: it is somewhat unstable on powering up. I have to reset the DSL line quite often after switching it on. Once up and reset, it looks nice. Allows 10 firewall rules for incoming and outgoing each. should be enough. I even added a rule to exclude PING and port135 (lovsan) and other frequent attacks from being logged. This avoids flooding the syslog and helps keeping an eye on important stuff. Use a dedicated syslog facility and write it to a separate file (maybe on a separate partition to avoid filling vital disk space).
