Hi all,
I'm in the market for a new laptop around Christmas time, and Ideally I'd like to have it be a replacement for my current laptop (Thinkpad R40) and Desktop, which are both showing their age. With that said, ideally, I'd like something running Linux out of the box (money's tight, and I surely would hate to pay a Microsoft tax, as I have no interest in dual booting).
So far, I've found a Dell Inspiron 15n (through a somewhat hidden link on dell's site), but not much else.
I'm looking in the $500-600 range, and comfortable keyboard (I'm a writer) and good battery charge are musts. I kinda like larger screen resolutions, so that would be good too.
