Ok I finally got my network working and am able to view my other PC and their shared folders. I wanted to be able to play the MP3's on my laptop which are located on my server. When I drag the file to Audacious it put it in the list but wont play it. I seem to have hit a wall with this. What could I have missed?
Have you tried using the "add files" dialog instead of drag&drop?
Is audacious able to display the properties of the file? What does the 'location' field say?
I just tried that and then it hit me... do I have to mount the remote drive locally? the only why I seem to be able to access it is if I open up Konqueror and click the "system" side tab and then goto "remote places". In the address bar there is smb://lf4/All_Music but when I try to go there from the shell it wont.
