streaming music

Wondering if anyone knows of a good way for me to stream music to a linux box hooked up to my home stereo from my XP computer via a home network. A winamp plug-in with a linux script would be ideal but i haven't been able to find one. I also checked to see if xmms had such a plug-in(which i didn't find) but would prefer something that ran in text mode.

Try using SAMBA. I use it to stream video and music in my home.
