Hello to everybody!
Here are my system specs: AMD Athlon 64 2800+ on a MSI K8N Neo3 F
mainboard with nForce 4 chipset, 640 RAM,. WD 160 Gb , Geforce 6600.
Everything was going fine since yesterday, when i decided to install Mandriva 2006 PowerPack on my system. The installation went ok, the setup installed all the components from my sytstem, including the onboard ethernet driver.
After installation I configured my network but the problem was that is wasn't working. I saw that Mandrake used the forcedeth driver for network card and everything seemed to be ok, I got no error messages.
So I tried different drivers (including the nvnet ones), but with no succes so I decided to return to the good old SuSE 9.3. I mention that i had SuSE 9.3 before i it worked without problem with my net card.
I installed SuSE as usual, my net card was detected, I ented the ip adress&others and I was surprised to see that the network is still not working.
Strange is that the net card is working without problems in Windows, so I don't think is a hardware problem

I, too, had problems on an AMD64 machine with an nVIDIA network adapter (forcedeth module). I finally punted and just installed a different adapter in one of the PCI slots. Everything is working fine with the other card(uses 3c59x module).
