Question Starting up Samba

i created a start up script for the smbd and nmbd daemon's to start samba. i called the script startsmb. the script works when i run it by hand but i want to add it to the /etc/rc.local file.

does anybody know the proper command or syntax i need to put in the rc.local file to execute it?

i was going to add just /etc/startsmb, but i am not sure if that is the proper way to do it. any help would be great thanks.
