Hello friends.

When i start my ipsec service using "/etc/init.d/ipsec start" after that i cannot able to ping to any of the other hosts within the same network and visa versa. And after stopping the service i again able to ping them all...

So can anyone please guide me why this is happening ?

currently i am using the following setting in ipsec.conf. Using the below setting i am not able to get ping to any of the hosts.

config setup
interfaces=%defaultroute
virtual_private=%v4:10.0.0.0/8,%v4:172.16.0.0/12,%v4:192.168.0.0/16

My routing table is as follows ::


Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
10.0.0.0 * 255.0.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth0
default 10.10.136.100 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth0

Now... when i change interface="ipsec0=eth0" instead of %default.
I am able to ping any host

But i am confused why this has happen. can anyone guide me please.
