Starting CIPE

Hi everyone,

I have redhat 7.3 and im using cipe-1.4.5-6. I editted the options.cipbc0 file (correctly i think) and then when i try to run the daemon by typing:

cipe-cb -o /etc/cipe/options.cipbc0

no errors show up so I'm thinking that everything is running ok. But when I type "ifconfig" it still displays my eth0 and loopback information but I read that my eth0 is supposed to be changed to "cipbc0". To test if my ciped is running i tried connecting my winxp box to my linux box and connection was not found. So, my question is...how do I start the CIPE daemon? thanx everyone

make sure you chmod your options file into 600 (rw for user). that's the most common mistake.
eth0 not supposed to be changed to cipcb0, but in ifconfig, it will add new network interface as cipcbX (X for #number of cipcb virtual device).
