Question Starting and stoping squid in Slackware 10

Hi 2 all!
i am new to Slackware 10 just installed before that i was using RedHat9. In slackware i have just installed and configured it.Now the problem is how to start and stop service of squid in Slackware. In redhat I use command

service squid start/stop/restart

but there is no such command like that and in /etc/rc.d there is no such squid so how can i do this i dont know any bash scripting or anything
can anybody please help me.
