ssl certificate question

someday, i may actually get sendmail, and pop to work
i always seem to get 9/10ths working, then
i run into one snag, or another.....

though there may be better tools,
i really want to use the redhat supplied
sendmail, and pop3

NOW, i am making a certificate

when it ask for a hotname,
is it mydoamin.net, or is it smtp.mydmain.net ????

the current problem is:

SSL Negotiation Failed: Certificate bad: Destination Host name does not match host name in certificate

any help would be grately appreicated

I believe the cert hostname needs to match that given sendmail in it's configuration.
