SSH tunneling

Actually I'm having troubles with SSH tunneling , so I googled and got to this website

the problem is that I can't "tunnel" thru to the daemon I've running on machine behind the Firewall/NAT.

I'm running this code on my local console:
ssh -l Myuser -L 77777: cat -
basically the exact same thing that's told on the website , am I misunderstanding something?
and what should appear on netstat when the tunnel is opened?

P.S "" is a nick to replace the real address ,you know

thanks in advance

Have you forwarded port 22 on your Router/Firewall to your host computer? Would your host computer be running a firewall that would prevent you from completing a connection?

A newbie is NOT necessarily someone who doesn't know , but someone whom You don't know what he/she might know!

In this Essence never ever underestimate a Newbie.
Or the chaos they may cause ....
