SSH Session lost

Hi,

I got this question, I have Linux REDHAT 4.1(CENTOS), and running apache, samba, etc. what is happening is that, SSH session is getting lost, can't access HTTP site, samba, any access to the server is lost , however everything seems to be still active when you log into the Consol, you can still see the SSH sessions and all services are running, not sure why this is happening any ideas?

Do you have a firewall in place? If so is it turning on while users are connected?

IPChains? (Not sure, never used 4.1

I turned off IPTABLEs down, but still get same problems. i will run a tcpdump on the interface, to see whats happening on that interface.
