Unhappy Squid redirecting weird problem

Hi, all!
I'm having a weird network problem.
I have a NAT/firewalled network 192.168.1.0 accessing the internet via squid.
Everybody on the inside net manage to access internet (using windows IE) successfully via proxy (squid/3128 on a RH 9 server).
The problem is when I try to setup transparent proxy (port 80 to 3128). What happens is a squid error page at the browser, meaning that the redirection is functional, but no page will open.

The redir is set as:
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -s 192.168.1.0/24 -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 3128

When I open the squid's access.log, it shows the url of the page that the win station's browser tried to open.

What could the problem be, folks? The redir seems to be working and when the browser is set to use proxy, it also works...

I'd appreciate any help.

Best regards from Rio!

mchanea.
