Spoofing MX records without querying DNS
So, I'm trying to test if my mail setting are correct and want to send a test email without actually updating DNS.
Is there a way to spoof the mx record for a domain without querying a DNS server? Any ideas? |
Maybe comment out the nameserver entries in /etc/resolv.conf and place the IP addresses your trying to test in /etc/hosts.
