Someone setup my linux in bridge mode for Windows server

Hello !

Can someone please setup linux in bridg mode for my windows server ?

my both linux and windows has 2 network cards each.

basicaly it is vLan cards, each server has 2 network cards. one to main switch and one to local IP.

data will be going like below:

internet ----------------> eth0 --> linux --> eth1 ----------------> Windows.

i have vLans on both servers.
And i need cross connection setup. And use linux in bridg mode / cross connection .

actualy i want to use Iptable rules to filter bad packets and forward good packets to windows.
i have scripts how to forward packets to windows.
but the problem is i dont know how to setup both servers in this topology. and how to make linux as bridge.

All it should be in transparent mode. Not in NAT mode.

please see attached file.

I can pay to the person who can setup in same topology.

Thank you.

Salman.

You want to pay someone to run "brctl addbr br0"? It's not rocket surgery, and there's really no master plan to follow, just loading the bridge module and that's it.

two topologies my applications can work with:

1: main switch-----------linux----------windows
2: linux------------main switch-------------windows

linux is transparently and invisible for packets in both conditions.

Why you can't use just:
main switch-------------windows ?

because windows is not able to stop UDP flood attack.

while linux has iptable filter rules. where we can limit connections per 1 IP.

like 50pps from 1 IP is allowed per 1 second.

and string 0.0.0.0 containint packet should be dropped .

this is only possible with linux .

In that case you need to use:
main switch-----------linux----------windows
If you want to cover only one windows comp.

or main switch-----------linux------switch----windowzez

Have you read this:
http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO...ter-HOWTO.html

What Linux do you use?

Do you know how to filter traffic on bridged interfaces?
