Socket question

I am trying to open a socket across an Infiniband over IP link. The trouble is I have an ethernet link and the infiniband link on the same box and the socket defaults to the ethernet link. Is there a way I can direct the socket across the infiniband link? or for that matter just specifying which link the socket should be opened onto. Do I need 2 IP addresses? Right now I'm running with one.

If your infiniband link lacks an IP address, then you cannot run IP sockets over it.

Otherwise, just bind to that IP address.

Thanks David. That would be correct. I added an ip address for each port and it is working correctly.
