snmp monitoring

What would be the best way to setup snmp monitoring of my RedHat box, so that a windows monitoring program can get the information.

Well, running snmpd I guess. What you config depends on your requirements, but the default conf is rather well-commented. Make sure you check out which is the highest version of SNMP you can run and restrict access so that next to community and pass only allowed hosts are able to retrieve info.
