smbusers and users

I am having a lot of problems getting users to connect to that samba server that i am trying to put up and running...
I see the server in network neibourhood but the password and user doesn't seem to want to let me in!

Why do i have an smbuser file in /etc/samba
root=adminisrtrator admin
nobody=guest pcguest smbguest

do i have to do something with this to get somebody connected to my samba server?

is there an association of some sort with user created by useradd?
