Unhappy SMB and LDAP Installed Can't Login

I am running Red Hat Linux 9 and I just installed LDAP and and SMB and now I can not login to my machine using either root or my general user account, how do I get back in?!

I am trying to network some computers on a home network. Using the Authentication control panel I enabled LDAP Support as well as SMB support. For SMB, I set the domain controller to be the computer which I am having trouble with. I restarted the computer and now I cannot log in. I have tried my root account as well as my general user account. Iím pretty new at this stuff so any help would be much appreciated.

You can use your installation CD as a rescue disk. Boot it and issue 'linux rescue' at the prompt. This will give you access to the configuration files and you can try to figure out what's wrong and fix it.

Thanks for the input. I was able to get at the system configuration but Iím not quite sure where to go from there. Iíve looked at the Samba and LDAP configuration files and I donít see anything obvious. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.
