Smart phones and tethered internet access

Hi everyone, I am planning on signing up for Verizon's Broadband Access service, and I would like to get a phone that will tether well with Linux to give internet access on my laptop. Are any of these phones known to work well like this under Linux??

Here's the list of phones I'd be interested in, mainly I am wanting to get the Motorola Q for price, but if another will work better in Linux, I may go that route.
