slow delivery in qmail+tmda

Hello Guys

I´d like your help with some informations to help me solve a little problem that I´m getting in my e-mail server. I have qmail and tmda working as a SMTP Gateway to filter the messages and delivery to Oracle Collaboration Mail, when the queue gets more than 1000 the delivery from qmail to COS become very slow.

I´m using:

Red Hat 9 OS
Pentium III 512 RAM
HD 10GB

I´ve looking for information on goole and found that there is a file called concurrencyremore, this file doesn´t exit in my system, maybe it´s the solution..

Thank all you!!!

Rodrigo

The files I believe you are looking for are concurrencylocal and concurrencyremote.

These two files control the max number of messages it can send at one time. They are located in your qmail/control directory. If they do no exist you can create them with just a number in it. e.g. 400 for a max of 400 deliveries at a single time.

Hey Draygo How Are you Going??

I'm very plesead your reply...

I've created these files, and put them at /var/qmail/control directory, unfortunately it did not solve my problem yet,
I don't know if it is necessary to run some command to make them work, I've just created them, stopped and started the
qmail processes. Is it right just do it??

When the queue reaches 1000 messages the delivery gets very slow. After a new installation What you usually do
to tunning qmail?? And What value normally you put at concurrencylocal and concurrencyremote??

Thank you in advance :)

Hello Guys!!

I have some value information:

As I told you when the queue reaches 1000 messages the delivery become very slow, I've noticed
that this queue is LOCAL and not remote, when I run qmHandle -l appears many messages to user
root with the subject "failure". I would like to know how to disable this kind of "warnings", I'm not sure
but I think these alerts are overloading my server.

Thank you in advance!!
