Unhappy Slow authenication - Proftp behind firewall - pls help

I had setted up the proftp server for 3 months, and stoppted using it for 2 months. Yesterday, i turned on the server and tested it inside my network internally (behind firewall) but the authentication is very slow. I connect it and it show "Socket connected please wait" in my cuteftp client. I waited about 30 seconds and then it authenicate and login successfully. The data connection is also good. Later, I call my friend (outside my network) and connect my server, It seem the same. As two months ago, the speed was very fast and run smoothly. Now, why the server respond so slow? Should I reinstall my Linux and Proftp package?

My installed Linux is Turbo Linux 7.
